Tis been a hard year so far, I've had a number of family members pass away.

The other day I had to do one of the hardest things I've ever done. I went on a trip out of town to visit my friend. When I returned my 7/8 year old Maine Coon is painfully thin, refusing food and weak. After about a day of loving on her, I took her in to the vet, and they told me what I kinda l already knew, it was cancer, that spread too hard and too fast to do anything and she was just wasting away. So I had to let her go on to see my Father and the others waiting upstairs as it were.

Breaks my heart still.

*sigh*

Alright crying jag over again-I've been doing this off and on since.

Anyways. I still have J-who while is not the most cuddly of kitties, she is always nearby to make sure you don't feel lonely.

However, I dislike keeping kitties home alone while you go out to work or whatever-I think they need a playmate and dogs don't count-they get to go outside while kitty stays in.

So.

Got a new little kitty, my first kitten really. All my kitties thus far, at least as far as I can personally remember, I got when they were at least a year old. This little girl is just about 8 weeks right now and is so tiny!

Mirage, or Mira for short, is a little Maine Coon. She is a black smoke with tuxedo markings and eyes that are starting to turn green. I've only had her for about eight hours, but she already stole a chunk of my heart. She is a bit timid trying out the room, but she is making progress. Right now she is sleeping about a foot away from me-and I am sitting on the floor, planning on sleeping here tonight so she can inspect me as she wishes.

Here is hoping she fits in well with my ragdoll kitty. J was a mother before I got her from the breeder-so I am hoping she will do well with the little one.
